Rafael Nadal's New Post-Retirement Photo Sparks Concerns From Fans

The days of Rafael Nadal terrorizing his opponents on clay courts are over, but he's still going viral during the 2026 French Open.

Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion, retired from tennis after competing in the 2024 Davis Cup Finals. He finished his career with 92 singles titles and two Olympic gold medals. His incredible story is currently being told in a new Netflix docuseries called "Rafa."

Prior to the premiere of "Rafa," the 14-time Roland Garros champion shared a photo of him and Roger Federer on social media.

"Look who I found in Madrid," Nadal wrote for his caption.

This photo of Nadal sparked some concerns about his weight. It appears the Spanish superstar has slimmed down just a touch since his playing days on the ATP Tour.

"You've lost some amount of weight champ," one fan commented.

"Did Nadal change his workout regimen," a second fan asked.

"Nadal unfortunately looks a bit gaunt and aged here he's still in his 30s, I just hope he hasn't done any long term health damage after his tennis career," another fan wrote.

The legacy of the King of Clay.

The men's draw at Roland Garros this year is more open than it's ever been due to the early exits of Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner.

Back when Nadal was in his prime, the French Open was his tournament to lose. There were multiple occasions in his career where he won the singles title at least four consecutive times.

No matter who rises up next, Nadal's legacy at Roland Garros will never be matched.
