Freddie Freeman Makes Off-Field Move Amid 5th Dodgers Season

Los Angeles Dodgersfirst basemanFreddie Freeman is taking a new venture away from the diamond this summer.

Freeman has been a steady presence in the Dodgers lineup, batting .271 with eight home runs and 27 RBI in 54 games this season. The 36-year-old's value in Los Angeles goes beyond his 2026 stats.

The veteran first baseman arrived before the 2022 season after an 11-year run with the Atlanta Braves, during which he won a National League MVP award in 2020 and a World Series title in 2021. Since joining the Dodgers, Freeman has added back-to-back championships in 2024 and 2025, taking home World Series MVP honors in 2024 on the back of the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history. The nine-time All-Star carries a career .299 batting average with 375 home runs.

Now, Freeman will be on a different stage of fame. He will appear on "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune," which streams 10 all-new episodes exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu starting on June 12, according to an ABC release. Hosts Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White welcome celebrities to the game show, where they will compete to win up to $1 million for a charity of their choice.

Freeman will not be the only Dodger on the show. Teammates Kiké Hernandez and Miguel Rojas will join him in an episode featuring the World Series champions.

Looking back on the field, the Dodgers will look to keep their grip on the NL West with a 37-20 record, with Freeman continuing to lead the team in the top half of the lineup.
