New York Knicks Fans Named 'Most Annoying' In Sports

The New York Knicks are three wins away from a championship parade, and apparently, that's something certain NBA fans don't want to see.

The Knicks won Game 1 on the road against the San Antonio Spurs thanks to a heroic performance from Jalen Brunson, who scored 13 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter. He hit an incredible fadeaway late in the game that silenced the crowd at Frost Bank Center.

"Jalen, he was the MVP in the second half. He was huge for us," Knicks coach Mike Brown said. "He did what MVP candidates are supposed to do. He carried us home. We put the ball in his hands, and he got it done for us down the stretch."

Instead of celebrating Brunson's epic performance, some people complained about the Knicks' fan base.

"Knicks fans might be the most annoying fans in the history of sports," one person declared.

"Knicks fans were unbelievably annoying post-game. Got ahold of a Spurs hat somehow and starting kicking it like it was a Sidetalk vid," a second person wrote.

"The annoying part about the Knicks being good and potentially going all the way is now we're going to have a ton of people that aren't actually fans trying to monetize on this moment," another person said.

Charles Barkley shared his thoughts on Knicks fans.

Prior to Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley referred to Knicks fans as "annoying." However, he still oddly respects their fan base to a certain degree.

"It's a different thing being in New York," Barkley said, via the New York Post. "I know New Yorkers are annoying. But man, they're right. When the Knicks are doing good, it's a different energy in that city."

The NBA Finals will shift to New York on June 8. For now, the Spurs have a chance at home to even up the series 1-1.
