President Trump Accused Of 'Ruining' Game 3 Of The NBA Finals

President Donald J. Trump is set to attend Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals in New York City on Monday evening.

The Knicks, who are up 2-0 in the NBA Finals, will be hosting the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3. The get-in price to attend Game 3 at Madison Square Garden is more than $7,000. President Trump, who grew up in New York, has announced that he will be attending the big game.

But with President Trump's appearance, comes difficulties for fans. Fans attending Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals are encouraged to show up early - as much as 2-2.5 hours early - to make sure they're in their seats for tipoff. Extra security measures will be taken, as well.

The Knicks announced their official plans.

"As we move closer to Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday night, Madison Square Garden and the United States Secret Service want to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all ticket holders by sharing important security procedures that will be in place," the team announced.

"A strict no-bag policy will be in effect, and fans should make every effort to limit personal items to an absolute minimum. Fans should expect enhanced security measures when entering Madison Square Garden, including TSA-style screening procedures. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive at least two hours before tip-off to allow additional time for screening and entry. Fans are encouraged to review the complete list of prohibited items before arriving at https://www.secretservice.gov/prohibiteditems.

"There will be no storage available for prohibited items brought to the venue."

Knicks fans are not happy with President Trump

Fans are accusing President Trump of "ruining" the experience for Game 3.

"Imagine paying thousands for NBA Finals tickets just to spend two hours trapped in security lines because of a political photo-op. Basketball should be about the fans and the team, not a VIP disruption. 🏀🙄 What's your take on this logistical nightmare?" one fan wrote.

"Fans now will be inconvenienced because our lovely President always needs to make things about himself," another added.

"Knicks willingly inconveniencing every single person at the game because the president wants to attend," one fan added.

"This is an unnecessary disruption. Why can't he just let fans enjoy their home team without this ridiculous inconvenience? He will get booed like nobody ever has before," another shared.

"Two hours arrival before tip off?? How many fans aren't going to get the notice and arrive an hour or 30 min before tip off like they usually do? There is a very real chance tip off happens and a sizable portion of the crowd is still going through security…" one fan added.

It'll be interesting to watch, that's for sure.

Game 3 is set to tip off shortly after 8 p.m. E.T. on Monday evening, live from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
