Bubba Wallace Gave Carson Hocevar 'Fiery' Advice After Sunday's Race

Bubba Wallace had a big day on Sunday.

The NASCAR 23XI Racing driver came in third place in the Firekeepers Casino 400 at the Michigan International Speedway. It was one of Wallace's best performances of the year. It's been an up-and-down season for Wallace, as he's had to watch his 23XI Racing teammate, Tyler Reddick, rack up a lot of wins.

But Wallace had the big finish on Sunday, earning top-five points and an impressive third place finish. Carson Hocevar, meanwhile, finished in fifth place - and received a talking to from Wallace after the race.

Following the race, Wallace was seen in a "fiery" chat with Hocevar, who finished in fifth place. Hocevar, 23, is one of the most talented drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series. However, he's been involved in a handful of controversial incidents and crashes.

Wallace made it clear that he had some advice for Hocevar following the race.

Wallace made it clear that he has some advice for Hocevar following the race in Michigan on Sunday.

Wallace made it clear that he had some simple advice for Hocevar: stop hitting stuff.

"But at the same time - Kevin Harvick told me, I don't know, whenever I was hitting (expletive) four or five years ago - he said, 'stop hitting (expletive), and your finishes will show.' And that's what I simply tried to tell him."

It's unclear if Hocevar will listen, of course, but Wallace appeared to mean well with his advice on Sunday evening.

The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season will continue on Sunday, June 14 at the Great American Getaway 400 at the Pocono Raceway.
