Micah Parsons Sends Clear Message on Caleb Williams Ahead of NFL Top 100
Pro Bowl linebacker Micah Parsons is gearing up for a return to the gridiron in the upcoming season after his previous campaign with the Green Bay Packers was cut short due to injury.
The 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year suffered a torn ACL against the Denver Broncos, sidelining him for the rest of the season and his team’s game in the NFL Playoffs.
That postseason game saw Caleb Williams lead the Chicago Bears to another win over the Packers, with Parsons unable to contribute and merely watch as a spectator, rather than impact the outcome.
With the new season around the corner, it also means the NFL is unveiling another edition of its top 100 players list, with Parsons drawing scrutiny over his one-word response in a promotional teaser.
The video teases NFL players naming who they believe is the top player in the league, with Parsons simply shown saying “Iceman,” which is Williams’ nickname. However, he later clarified that it was taken out of context.

A new, longer clip featuring Parsons appeared online in which he says, “Yeah, Iceman,” and delivers praise for Williams and what he’s done so far in his career.
“I can’t lie. The celly and everything is super great, like I won’t even lie to you,” Parsons said. “He really sped his clock up. He wasn’t taking as many sacks. He felt confidence in his system.”
“I always want to see people succeed, regardless of who they play for,” he said, adding, “Just don’t want to see you succeed against me.”
Parsons also warned, “Where there’s ice, there’s also fire, and I’m the fire,” in the new NFL video clip.
It shows the competitive spirit that Parsons has, as he’s fully embracing the rivalry that is the Bears-Packers. Chicago gained the upper hand with a regular-season OT win and playoff win against Green Bay, led by Williams. In both games, Parsons was absent due to his injury.
Last season, Chicago finished 11-6 to claim the NFC North and No. 2 seed in the conference, while Green Bay finished just below them at 9-7-1. Some contend that the Packers’ injuries, including Jordan Love having to sit out, led to the Bears being able to finish ahead of them and get homefield advantage for their first two postseason games.
Parsons participated in the two teams’ first meeting last season, a 28-21 win in Green Bay. He had one tackle, while teammate Kingsley Enagbare recorded the game’s only sack on Williams.
The second regular-season game was a 22-16 overtime win by the Bears, with Parsons not playing due to his unfortunate injury. He’s hoping to return by Week 5 or Week 6 of the upcoming season, which might allow him to play in one or both of the heated rivals’ meetings for the 2026-27 campaign.
