Ted Cruz Has Egg On His Face After Spurs' NBA Finals Loss
Few people are more fun to dunk on than politicians who look foolish with their sports opinions and sports takes.
It doesn't matter what side of the political world you are a part of. If you're a politician and you get involved in the sports world and you're wrong - you're going to be made fun of, in a big way.
Few people, if any, have been part of this trend more than U.S. Senator Ted Cruz. Cruz, a Republican from Texas, has been viewed as somewhat of a jinx for any team he supports. Unfortunately, the Spurs are his latest victim.
Cruz made it clear that he thought the Spurs would take down the Knicks in the NBA Finals. New York took a 2-0 series lead and never really looked back, winning in five games, closing it out on Saturday night.
The longtime U.S. Senator, meanwhile, looks foolish for his NBA Finals prediction, made on soical media.
Fans are dunking on him.
Cruz's NBA Finals prediction goes wrong
"Spurs in 6," he wrote in response to Ben Stiller.
Fans are dunking on him.
"The Cruz Curse continues, up next is all of college sports," one fan wrote.
"You messed it up," one fan added.
"Get away from this team!" one fan added.
"How about Knicks in 5. And u get to watch the team from Lib Central East Coast celebrate in your state," another fan joked.
"I knew he would jinx The Spurs. Lol," one fan added.
"Once he posted this, it was over. Congrats to the Knicks on their championship," another fan added.
Perhaps the longtime U.S. Senator should just stay away from sports predictions - and maybe sports in general - moving forward, because it doesn't seem to be going very well for him right now.
