Inside Virgil van Dijk's Family Life With Wife Rike Nooitgedagt & Their Children

One of the biggest names in the 2026 World Cup is Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk. Van Dijk will play his second World Cup for the Netherlands after playing in the 2022 World Cup.

The Liverpool defender remains one of the top defenders in the World despite having a difficult season, where Liverpool went trophyless and finished 5th in the Premier League.

Van Dijk is the captain of the national team and will look to help the Netherlands guide them to a better position than the previous World Cup, where they were knocked out in the quarterfinals.

During title celebrations, Vna Dijk is often seen with his family, which includes his wife Rike Nooitgedagt and their two daughters.

What We Know About Virgil Van Dijk's Family

Virgil Van Dijk and his wife Rike Nooitgedagt met when they were teenagers in Breda, Netherlands. They dated at a young age after growing up together.

Van Dijk's first big club was Celtic of Scotland in 2013, and when he moved to Scotland, Nooitgedagt resigned from her career as a fashion sales manager in the Netherlands to move to Glasgow with him.

The two got married in 2017, and they have four children together. They have three daughters and one son.
