Sophie Cunningham Makes Career Announcement After 13 Games
Sophie Cunningham is enjoying one of the best stretches of her WNBA career. Through 13 games with the Indiana Fever this season, the veteran guard is averaging 10.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists and has helped Indiana climb to a 9-5 record and sixth place in the WNBA standings.
Cunningham has become an important piece of the Fever rotation, and has been praised for her perimeter shooting, defense and backcourt partnership with Caitlin Clark.
She delivered her best performance of the season on Tuesday night against the Toronto Tempo. Cunningham scored a career-high 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including six made three-pointers, while adding six rebounds in Indiana's 113-91 victory. The Fever set a franchise record for points scored in a regulation game, and extended their winning streak to four games.
As she looks to build on that performance on the court, Cunningham is also expanding her résumé away from basketball.
On Wednesday, Cunningham announced that she will make her WNBA broadcasting debut on USA Sports. The Fever guard posted that she would be joining the network's coverage team for the evening, marking another step in a growing media career.
USA Sports became one of the WNBA's national broadcast partners this season as part of the league's new media rights agreement and now carries a significant slate of regular-season games and studio programming.

The move is not entirely new territory for Cunningham. In July 2025, she launched the podcast "Show Me Something" alongside her longtime friend and reality television personality West Wilson. The show features conversations about basketball, sports, entertainment and life away from the court, while also giving fans behind-the-scenes access to the Fever locker room and Cunningham's experiences around the WNBA.
