Angel Reese Ends Losing Streak Against Caitlin Clark After Fever's Failed Comeback
Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese entered Thursday's game against the Indiana Fever holding a losing record against Caitlin Clark. In the six WNBA games they had played throughout their professional careers, Reese had only won once against Clark.
Reese was also on a four-game losing streak in her head-to-head matchups against Clark, with her last and only win coming during her rookie season in 2024 when she was still with the Chicago Sky.
Sure enough, Reese didn't let Clark win five straight against her, as she and the Dream took down the Fever 108-101 in their latest showdown.
Reese was sensational in the contest, recording a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. She shot 8-of-14 from the field and managed to stay on the floor despite going into foul trouble in the first half.
Clark led the Fever in scoring with 26 points, along with seven assists. However, Indiana's poor defense came back to haunt the team once again. After tying the game at 95-95 with 3:16 left in regulation, the Fever allowed the Dream to go on a 10-4 run over the following three minutes.
Clark still leads their head-to-head matchups 5-2, but Reese is certainly in a great position to catch up considering how well the Dream are playing. Atlanta improved to 10-4 on the season with the win, while Indiana dropped to 9-6.
Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark Head-to-Head Record
It's worth noting that the two played just once against each other during the 2025 season after Clark missed most of the campaign due to a groin injury and a bone bruise.
They played four games in their rookie year and one more game earlier in June this 2026 season.
Below is a breakdown of Clark and Reese's head-to-head matchups over the years.
