Who are the Commentators for Germany vs Ivory Coast World Cup Match?
One of the most anticipated matches of mactchweek 2 of the 2026 World Cup group stage is Germany vs the Ivory Coast.
Both teams won their first match of the tournament and are on three points. Germany tops Group E after beating Curacao 7-1 last week and finishing with a +6 goal difference, and the Ivory Coast is second after beating Ecuador 1-0 and sitting with a +1 goal difference.
The match will have analysis from a former Wimbledon and Newcastle United player, Warren Barton, during the FOX Soccer coverage. Barton has been a television pundit since 2005, when he started at FS1.
Barton will join the play-by-play commentator for Germany vs Ivory Coast, who will be Jacqui Oatley.
Oatley has called matches for tournaments and competitions like the FIFA World Cup, Premier League, FA Women's Super League, UEFA Champions League, NWSL, and UEFA international matches.
The duo worked together for two games in Mexico in the 2026 World Cup before the match between Germany and the Ivory Coast, which will be played at Toronto Stadium in Toronto, Canada.
Oatley and Barton commented on South Korea vs Czechia and Uzbekistan vs. Colombia.
In the Uzbekistan vs Colombia match, Barton was hit in the head by a bottle, where he received a cut. Luckily, he is ok and will be part of the commentary team today.
That was an unusual one. Getting drenched in beer while commentating on a goal (quite refreshing, actually) and poor @warrenbarton22 was whacked/cut in the head by a flying bottle! I heard him being hit and turned round to see blood trickling down his forehead He's OK.
