Interactive timeline: UNC, NC State on different paths since last meeting

Less than a year has gone by since N.C. State’s 58-46 victory at North Carolina on Feb. 24, 2015. That was the most recent time the Tar Heels and Wolfpack played – 324 days ago, as of Thursday.

Though it has been less than a year, it’s an eternity these days in college basketball. N.C. State and UNC will meet again Saturday at the Smith Center. The coaches are the same and many of the players are, too.

But UNC and N.C. State are vastly different teams than they were when they last played. UNC is among the favorites to win the ACC and reach the Final Four, while N.C. State is off to its worst conference start in nearly 20 years.
