It’s fair to say Saturday night’s ACC men’s basketball game between UNC and N.C. State will be remembered as much for the horrific-looking injury to Wolfpack sophomore Terquavion Smith as it will for being the game during which Armando Bacot broke two impressive Tar Heels program records.

On the latest ACC Now podcast, News & Observer sports columnist Luke DeCock and radio and podcast host/bon vivant/local eccentric Hayes Permar IV discuss the reaction to Smith’s injury, the N.C. State-North Carolina game, and what it all means for the nature of fandom in 2023.
