Nick Saban is gone, but Alabama keeps doing Alabama things.

That includes returning to No. 1 in the new Associated Press Top 25 poll Sunday.

Saturday night’s thrilling 41-34 win over then-No. 2 Georgia caused a shift among the top five teams, even though four of them remain undefeated.

Alabama (4-0) moved up four spots to No. 1, passing both Texas (5-0) and Ohio State (4-0), who now occupy the second and third slots.

Tennessee (4-0) moved up a spot to No. 4 while Georgia (3-1) fell three spots to No. 5.

Elsewhere in the top 10, two teams fell out after losing to unranked teams Saturday.

Mississippi, after losing 20-17 at home to Kentucky, fell six spots to No. 12, while Utah dropped eight spots to No. 18 after losing 23-10 to Arizona.

No. 10 Michigan (4-1) returned to the top 10 after its 27-24 win over Minnesota on Saturday bumped the Wolverines up two spots.

No. 9 Missouri (4-0), which fell out of the top 10 without a loss last week because it struggled before beating Vanderbilt, 30-27, in double overtime, jumped two spots this week despite not playing a game.

Two teams fell out of the rankings as Oklahoma State was punished for its second consecutive loss, even though the 42-20 setback was on the road at No. 20 Kansas State. Texas A&M beat Arkansas 21-17 but still dropped after being ranked No. 24 last week.

Replacing those two are No. 23 Indiana (5-0) and No 25 UNLV (4-0).

Illinois (4-1) suffered its first loss but it was a 21-7 setback to Penn State. The Illini fell five spots to No. 24, while Penn State moved up to two spots to No. 7.

The ACC had three teams ranked once again in No. 8 Miami (5-0), No. 15 Clemson (3-1) and No. 22 Louisville (3-1), which fell seven spots after losing 31-24 at No. 14 Notre Dame.

Pittsburgh (4-0) received enough poll votes to find itself second among teams that just missed the rankings. Only Arizona had more poll points than Pitt among unranked teams.

Other ACC teams receiving votes are Boston College (4-1) and SMU (4-1).
