In a week where the only ranked teams to lose did so to fellow ranked teams, the lack of massive upsets didn’t mean the new Associated Press Top 25 poll remained stagnant.

A change occurred among the top five despite none of them losing as Miami and Texas traded places. Plus there are three new top 10 teams.

While the top four teams remained the same, Miami (8-0, 4-0 ACC) moved up one spot to No. 5 after beating Florida State, 36-14. It’s the first time the Hurricanes have been in the top five since 2017.

Meanwhile, Texas (7-1, 3-1 SEC) fell one spot to No. 6 after defeating Vanderbilt, 27-24.

Because Texas A&M beat LSU, 38-23, the Aggies (7-1, 5-0 SEC) moved up four spots to No. 10 while LSU dropped eight spots to No. 16.

Texas A&M, with former Duke coach Mike Elko in his first season as its head coach, is on a seven-game winning streak since a season-opening loss to Notre Dame.

Speaking of the Fighting Irish, they moved up four spots to replace LSU at No. 8.

Poll voters moved Clemson (6-1, 5-0 ACC) down two spots to No. 11 while the Tigers didn’t have a game on Saturday. That made room for BYU (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) to move up to No. 9 after the Cougars won 37-24 at UCF.

The other team still unbeaten in Big 12 play, Iowa State (7-0, 4-0) is now tied with Clemson at No. 11.

Indiana (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) remained at No. 13 after it whipped Washington, 31-17, on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Navy to dropped out of the poll after losing 51-14 to Notre Dame. Vanderbilt was the other team to fall out of the top 25.

That allowed Washington State (7-1) to move into the poll at No. 22 while Colorado (6-2, 4-1 Big 12) slid in at No. 23.

Illinois, after losing, 38-9, at No. 1 Oregon dropped but remained in the rankings at No. 24.

Missouri (6-2, 2-2 SEC), also in danger of falling out after losing 34-0 at Alabama (6-2, 3-2 SEC), instead hung on at No. 25.
