NC State-Duke football moves channels after weather impacts other games
N.C. State and Duke football fans looking to catch their game Saturday on TV had to jump around the channel list.
Due to weather delays elsewhere, the Wolfpack and Blue Devils began on ESPNEWS at 4 p.m. at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham before eventually landing back on its planned home, ESPN2.
Syracuse’s game at Clemson was delayed at halftime for one hour and 40 minutes due to lightning in the area, causing it to move from ESPN to ESPN2 to restart at 3:45 p.m. That allowed ESPN to show the Ole Miss-Tulane game as was the original plan prior to the Clemson-Syracuse delay.
After leading 24-14 when the delay, the Orange finished off a 34-21 win at Clemson at 5:36 p.m. on Saturday.
A minute later, ESPN2 finally picked up the Duke-N.C. State game, just prior to halftime at Wallace Wade Stadium. ESPN2 showed the remainder of the game as Duke rallied from a 13-point, first-half deficit to beat the Wolfpack, 45-33.
