ACC rankings: Clemson on top
1. Clemson (5-0): Cleared their debts with Georgia Tech; FSU is next on the list.
2. Dalvin Cook: In another year, under different circumstances, the sophomore running back (792 yards, eight TDs) would be the Heisman front-runner.
3. Miami (3-2): Perpetual defensive issues will be Al Golden’s downfall.
4. The rest of Florida State: Can only fit on Cook’s back for so long.
T5. Duke (5-1), UNC (4-1), Pitt (4-1): Division is theirs for the taking.
8. Louisville (2-3): Schedule opens up after trip to FSU this week.
9. Virginia Tech (3-3): Don’t count the Hokies out yet.
10. Georgia Tech (2-4): But you can bury the Jackets.
11. Wake Forest (3-3): Alex Kinal for Heisman.
12. N.C. State (4-2): Codifying another section of the “Law of the Wolfpack.”
13. Boston College (3-3): Bowl math probably doesn’t add up after a home loss to Wake.
14. Syracuse (3-2): South Florida is not good. South Florida beat Syracuse by 21 points.
15. Virginia (1-4): Only 31 days until the hoops opener.
