Wake women rout Clemson

Milan Quinn had 20 points and 15 rebounds, leading three Wake Forest players in double figures in a 73-58 win over Clemson in Wednesday's first round of the ACC women's tournament in Greensboro.

The No. 10 seed Deacons (16-14, 6-10 ACC) have won eight straight opening-round games in the ACC tournament, the longest streak in the conference.

Wake, which had won their regular-season meeting on Feb. 11 on the road, advanced to Thursday's 6 p.m. second-round game against No. 7 seed Georgia Tech.

Ariel Stephenson added 19 points and Amber Campbell 15 for the Deacons.

Clemson, which was the No. 15 seed after going 0-16 in conference play, ended its season at 4-26.

Nelly Perry led the Tigers with 23 points, while Victoria Cardaci chipped in 11 and Alexis Carter 10.
