Rather than head to a far-away locale like Maui or the Bahamas, the Duke Blue Devils will stay at home for their in-season tournament next season.

Duke will host the Blue Devil Challenge multi-team event, welcoming Bucknell, LaSalle and Southern Indiana to Cameron Indoor Stadium during Jon Scheyer’s second season as the Blue Devils’ head coach.

The Blue Devils will play Bucknell on Nov. 17, LaSalle on Nov. 21 and Southern Indiana on Nov. 24 in the three-game, round-robin event.

As part of the event, Bucknell plays at LaSalle on Nov. 14, Southern Indiana plays at LaSalle on Nov. 17 and Bucknell hosts Southern Indiana on Nov. 20.

Game times and broadcast details have not been finalized.

Duke will return at least three starters, and possibly four, from its 27-9 team that won the ACC championship in Scheyer’s first season as head coach. Kyle Filipowski, Mark Mitchell and Tyrese Proctor have all said they are staying in school for their sophomore seasons rather than turn professional.

Guard Jeremy Roach declared for the NBA Draft but has the option of returning to school for his senior season if he withdraws from the draft by May 31.

In addition to the Blue Devil Challenge, Duke’s nonconference schedule includes a Nov. 10 game with Arizona at Cameron Indoor Stadium as well as a matchup with Michigan State on Nov. 14 in the Champions Classic at Chicago’s United Center.

Duke will also have a nonconference game in the initial ACC-SEC Challenge.
