Amile Jefferson, forward, Duke
Jefferson left Duke’s last exhibition game with a sprained ankle, but he has been working back to health over the past week. The Blue Devils are counting on a lot of minutes from him at the 4 position, and this is his first real chance to test his ankle.
Observations
It will take time for Mike Krzyzewski to work out his rotation, which always settles around eight players. Derryck Thornton and Luke Kennard are still auditioning for bigger roles, and strong early season play could move them into the starting lineup.
