Stay home and watch the Duke-N.C. State game on television.

That was the advice of Gov. Pat McCrory on Saturday morning. The Blue Devils and Wolfpack are still scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. but with a state of emergency in effect, the governor’s preference is for fans to stay home.

Arena and N.C. State officials were busy on Saturday prepping for the ACC basketball game. The major roads from downtown to PNC Arena were relatively clear but still icy enough to be a potential hazard.
