Former N.C. State, Millbrook star, James Smith-Williams was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft by Washington on Saturday.

Injuries got in the way of Smith-Williams having high productivity at N.C. State, but when healthy he was very good, and he might be a steal here for Washington.

Smith-Williams, a defensive end, is a freakish athlete, who ran a 4.6 dash at the NFL Combine. Athleticism should allow him to see action on special teams right away. Finished career with 14 sacks.

He could become an elite pass rush specialist if he remains healthy or could make plays as an outside linebacker if he adapts to playing the position.
