NC State football gets commitment from four-star Georgia quarterback

N.C. State coach Dave Doeren got a big boost to his class of 2021 with the commitment of a Georgia signal caller.

Aaron McLaughlin, a 6-5, 219-pound quarterback out of Denmark High School in Alpharetta, Ga., posted on Twitter Thursday morning that he was verbally committing to the Wolfpack.

“I have found a home, all glory to God,” McLaughlin posted wearing an N.C. State uniform. “Committed to NC State.”

McLaughlin picked N.C. State over offers from Louisville, Miami, Auburn, Alabama and others. The four-star prospect is the fifth player to commit to Doeren in the class of 2021 and the highest rated player out of the five.

He’s the No. 22 player in Georgia and the No. 13 pro-style quarterback in the country.

As a junior McLaughlin completed 134 of 220 pass attempts for 2,018 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also rushed for nine touchdowns.
