Want to be at the game? Wolfpack fans can purchase cutouts to be placed in the stands
There will be fans in the stands in Carter Finley-Stadium on Sept. 19 after all … sort of.
N.C. State announced on Thursday that fans will be able to purchase Wolfpack Football Fan Cutouts. The cutouts, which images of Wolfpack fans in N.C. State gear will be placed in the stands. Proceeds from the sales will go to N.C. State Athletics.
Earlier this week the school announced that no fans will be allowed in the stadium for the home opener against Wake Forest due to COVID-19.
“We understand this may be difficult news for Wolfpack nation, but given the information available to us at the current time, we are making the responsible decision to begin our season without spectators,” athletic director Boo Corrigan said in a press release.
N.C. State will play five home games in 2020. There will be no tailgating for the season opener, Corrigan said in the release. The school will re-evaluate after the opener. State plays only one home game in September.
At least now, the athletes won’t have to look up and see empty bleachers.
For $99 (premium option) or $79 (standard), fans can show their support by having their cutout in the stands. Season ticket holders for 2020 and Preserve the Pack donors will receive exclusive discounts. Cutouts can be purchased at GoPack.com/FanCutouts.
N.C. State fans can also submit videos of themselves cheering for all Wolfpack fall sports teams. Videos will be taken on N.C. State athletics social media account using the hashtag #HOWLfromHOME or by filling out an online submission form.
Cutouts should be purchased by Sept. 6 in order to be in the stands for the Sept. 19 opener.
