ACC women’s basketball tournament: Here’s when and who NC State, Duke and UNC play
After the final Sunday of the regular season, the brackets are set for the 2022 ACC Women’s Tournament.
The tournament, held at the Greensboro Coliseum, starts March 2 at 1 p.m.
The Duke Blue Devils (16-12) are the only Triangle team that will tip off on Day 1. Duke, the No. 10 seed, will take on No. 15 seed Pittsburgh (11-18) at 3:30 p.m.
UNC, the No. 4 seed, earned a double bye and won’t hit the court until Friday. The Tar Heels (23-5) will play their first game at 11 a.m. UNC ended the regular season with a 74-46 win over the Blue Devils.
N.C. State secured its first regular-season title since 1990 and will head into the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed. The Wolfpack (26-3) ended the regular season at Virginia Tech (21-8) on Sunday, defeating the Hokies, 68-66.
N.C. State earned the double bye and won’t play until 2 p.m. on Friday. The Pack and Tar Heels could face off for a third time this season in the semifinal round. N.C. State swept UNC in the regular season.
The first three rounds of the ACC Tournament will be aired on RSN. The semifinals will be shown on the ACC Network on Saturday starting at noon, with Sunday’s title game airing on ESPN, also at noon.
The Wolfpack has won the previous two ACC Tournament titles.
