NC State basketball picks up commitment from four-star wing Dennis Parker

N.C. State basketball coach Kevin Keatts has landed a major recruit for the class of 2023: small forward Dennis Parker of Richmond, Virginia.

Parker, a four-star recruit rated as the No. 2 player in Virginia, had narrowed his choice down to three schools: NCSU, Oklahoma State and Georgetown. The 6-7 wing made his announcement Wednesday at John Marshall High in Richmond.

Parker has been recruited by the Wolfpack for more than two years and made an official visit to NCSU on Sept. 9.

Parker is ranked No. 59 overall in the nation by On3 and the No. 17 small forward.

Parker becomes the first commitment for the class of 2023 for the Pack as Keatts and the Wolfpack continue to rebuild through recruiting and the NCAA transfer portal after a struggling 2021-22 season.
