NC State basketball forward Jack Clark injured in fall, leaves game against Wake Forest
N.C. State forward Jack Clark was injured early in the second half Wednesday after an awkward fall following a dunk.
Clark held on to the rim after the jam, was off balance and then landed hard on his left shoulder with 18:49 left in the ACC game against Wake Forest. He also appeared to bang his head on the court.
Clark was helped off the court and taken for further medical evaluation. He returned to the sideline with about 10 minutes to play in regulation, his arm in a sling.
NCSU coach Kevin Keatts did not have an update on Clark’s condition after the Pack’s 90-74 victory.
Clark missed 10 games this season with a groin injury before returning Feb. 11 against Boston College. He played against Syracuse and in Sunday’s victory over North Carolina.
Wake Forest’s Damari Monsanto suffered an apparent knee injury in the final second of the first half and had to be assisted in leaving the floor. Wake coach Steve Forbes said Monsanto would have an MRI on Thursday.
