Incoming transfers
QB Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina): McCall announced on Wednesday his commitment to join the Wolfpack. He comes from Coastal Carolina as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. McCall leaves the Chanticleers as arguably the best player in program history.
He completed 710-of-1,016 passes for 10,005 yards and 88 touchdowns. He threw just 14 interceptions across five seasons and averaged more than 238 yards per game. McCall also rushed for 1,113 yards and 18 touchdowns.
He is expected to replace MJ Morris and outgoing graduate student Brennan Armstrong. It was reported that wide receiver Kevin “KC” Concepcion offered McCall the No. 10 jersey, which he wore with Coastal, but McCall declined.
OL Valen Erickson (Missouri): Erickson committed to the Wolfpack over the weekend. The redshirt freshman has yet to appear in any games but is expected to play primarily at offensive tackle. He transferred in the middle of the 2023 season and redshirted last fall. Erickson was a three-star recruit in high school and chose Mizzou over Nebraska.
OL Zeke Correll (Notre Dame): N.C. State picked up a big commitment in Correll, a graduate transfer center. The Pack needs depth at the position, where it expects to lose fifth-year player Dylan McMahon. McMahon accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl, a showcase game for NFL prospects. Correll is ranked No. 2 by 247 Sports for best interior offensive lineman. He made more than 30 starts with the Irish and has one year of eligibility.
WR Wesley Grimes (Wake Forest): Grimes returns home to Raleigh, making the in-state transfer from the Demon Deacons. The sophomore played in 19 games during his time at Wake. This fall, he caught 20 passes for 339 yards and four touchdowns. Grimes added two kickoff returns, as well.

He logged nine tackles and two pass breakups. In his first two seasons, he finished with 28 tackles in 22 appearances. He was a three-star recruit coming out of high school.
CB Tamarcus Cooley (Maryland): Cooley committed to the Wolfpack on Monday, signaling a return home to North Carolina. Cooley graduated from Rolesville High School in Wake Forest. He originally committed to N.C. State after high school but flipped to Maryland, where he played four games as a freshman this fall. With his redshirt, Cooley should have four years of eligibility remaining.
LB Wyatt Wright (Miss. Gulf Coast): Wright committed to N.C. State on Monday morning, transferring from the junior college level. He recorded 82 tackles and one forced fumble this fall. He helped the Bulldogs finish with an 8-2 overall record and 5-1 in conference play.
