N.C. State athletics continued the month with multiple wins and big performances, including another national title.
Here’s what you might have missed in the past week.
Cheerleading champions
The Wolfpack cheerleading team earned a national championship on Friday at the Universal Cheerleaders Association University World Cup. This is the second N.C. State title of the season, following the cross country team’s win in the fall.
Three groups competed in the Girls 4 Group Stunt category, with all three finishing in the top 10.
Cora Mabrey, Malea Hurley, Angelina Potynsky and Alex Devonmille’s group won the title.
The other two groups finished No. 3 and No. 10, respectively. N.C. State competed against teams such as Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas.
N.C. State now possesses eight cheerleading championships and three ACC titles.

After dropping its first game of the season at Virginia Tech, the Wolfpack rebounded with a big victory last week. It defeated Virginia, 93-66, at home on Thursday.
Five players recorded double figures, with freshman Zoe Brooks leading the team at 19 points. Graduate student Mimi Collins finished just shy of a double-double, contributing 14 points and nine rebounds.
