1. Clemson (8-0): The Tigers have been waiting for another shot at FSU.

2. UNC (7-1): Nothing easy left but don’t need anyone’s help.

3. FSU (7-1): Backups better than the starters?

4. Louisville (4-4): Lucky there aren’t any pictures on the scorecard.

5. Duke (6-2): Owed one by the football gods.

6. Pitt (6-2): Not out yet but closing stretch is treacherous.

7. Miami (5-3): Only time a team with 23 penalties was helped by the officials.

8. Georgia Tech (3-6): Spotting dimes, eating onions, who knows with this group.

9. Virginia Tech (4-5): Inspired Hokies > Regular Hokies

10. N.C. State (5-3): Bad news: Couldn’t stop Deshaun Watson. Good news: Will not face Watson again.

11. Virginia (3-5): Win over Georgia Tech makes them better than FSU. Right?

12. Syracuse (3-5): In fairness, FSU’s backups are pretty good.

13. Wake Forest (3-6): A horseshoes-and-hand-grenades loss to Louisville.

14. Boston College (3-6): Five TDs from the offense in six ACC games.
