UNC has one thing less to worry about this bowl season.

Star Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey tweeted Monday that he planned to skip the Sun Bowl so he can prepare for the NFL Draft.

McCaffrey, a junior, had announced on Dec. 7 that he was planning to forgo his senior season and enter the draft.

McCaffrey’s brother, Max, played wide receiver for Duke.

The Tar Heels (9-3) play Stanford (8-4) in the Sun Bowl at 2 p.m. on Dec. 30 in El Paso, Texas.
