UNC basketball game at Boston College has been moved. Tar Heels will now play Sunday
The ACC moved North Carolina’s men’s basketball game at Boston College from its originally slated time on New Year’s Day back to Sunday. The game time and broadcast network are still being determined, tipoff will either be at noon or at 1 p.m.
The Eagles (6-5, 1-0 ACC) had their last two games postponed while they paused all team activities due to a COVID-19 outbreak. They missed scheduled games against Wake Forest on Dec. 22 and Wednesday’s game against Florida State.
The Tar Heels (9-3, 1-0) also had their game scheduled for Wednesday at Virginia Tech canceled while the Hokies entered COVID protocol.
Carolina has not played since its 70-50 win over Appalachian State on Dec. 21. The Eagles haven’t played since a 61-57 loss to Albany on Dec. 13.
The game is one of four ACC games originally slated for Saturday that have been changed. Duke is in COVID protocol and had its game at Notre Dame postponed. Virginia at Syracuse was moved from 6 p.m. to an 8 p.m. start. Louisville at Georgia Tech was also moved from Saturday to Sunday.
