The Tar Heels (19-12) enter edthe ACC tournament in a precarious position for making the NCAA tournament. Most prognosticators don’t have UNC making the tournament. The Heels needed to as a baseline to improve their position before Selection Sunday.

The Tar Heels will face the Virginia Cavaliers in the third round Thursday.
