Back in the nation’s top 10 for the first time since September 2021, North Carolina aims to stay there.

The No. 10 Tar Heels play Virginia on Saturday night at Kenan Stadium, ending a stretch of three consecutive ACC home games.

UNC (6-0, 3-0 ACC) moved up two spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll to rejoin the top 10 for the first time since its preseason No. 10 in 2021. The Tar Heels promptly lost their season-opening game that season, a 17-10 setback at Virginia Tech, on the way to a 6-7 record.

UNC has already reached that win total this season and the Heels have designs on far more wins and accomplishments.
