Observations
This is UNC’s final tuneup before the start of conference play and this should be nothing more than that – a tuneup. UNC Greensboro is the second-worst team on the Tar Heels’ schedule, according to kenpom.com, and ranks 284th nationally. The Spartans have struggled, especially offensively, and rank 310th out of 351 teams in adjusted offensive efficiency. This is the third consecutive season the Tar Heels and Spartans have played; before their game two years ago they’d never met. Wes Miller, the UNC Greensboro coach, played at UNC and was a Tar Heels captain during the 2006-07 season.
