Observations
And so continues a four-game stretch that, on paper, at least, represents the easiest part of UNC's ACC schedule. The Tar Heels defeated N.C. State at home on Saturday and after playing Wake Forest on Wednesday have games against Virginia Tech and Boston College before the schedule turns more difficult. The Demon Deacons have lost four in a row and are among the worst defensive teams in the ACC. They've allowed at least 83 points in three of their four conference losses. Wake doesn't force a lot of turnovers and allows opposing teams to shoot a good percentage – not a good combination. And yet Devin Thomas, the Demon Deacons' 6-foot-9 senior forward, will test the Tar Heels on the interior, and especially test Brice Johnson's ability to stay out of foul trouble.
