Observations
As if things weren’t bad enough for Boston College, it’ll be without two of its top players on Saturday. Jermome Robinson, the team’s second-leading scorer, will reportedly miss three to six weeks with a broken wrist and Daryl Hicks, the team’s sixth man, reportedly has a concussion. Even at full strength this has been a season to forget for Boston College, which, according to kenpom.com, is the worst major-conference team in the country. The Eagles rank 256th nationally in the Pomeroy rankings, which puts them alongside some of the ACC’s worst teams in the past 15 years. The Eagles are the lowest-ranked team, according to Pomeroy, on UNC’s schedule. It could be a prime opportunity, then, for UNC to break out of its prolonged shooting slump and for Marcus Paige to snap out of his individual funk, as well.
