North Carolina will host a four-team basketball exhibition to benefit the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, the university announced on Monday.

The Tar Heels on Nov. 5, a Sunday, will host ECU, UNC-Greensboro and UNC-Wilmington at the Smith Center. The event will begin at 3 p.m. Each team will play for 40 minutes, divided into segments against the other three teams.

Tickets are $20 and will go on sale on Oct. 25 on goheels.com, at the UNC ticket office and by phone (1-800-722-HEEL). Proceeds will go toward the disaster relief fund. UNC students will receive free admission, but are encouraged to make a donation.

ECU, UNCG and UNCW are all led by head coaches with close ties to UNC. ECU coach Jeff Lebo and UNCG coach Wes Miller both played for the Tar Heels. C.B. McGrath, the first-year coach at UNCW, served as a longtime assistant coach at UNC under coach Roy Williams.

Williams in a statement described the exhibition as “a tremendous opportunity” to help those in need.

“The recent hurricanes caused so much damage,” he said. “We have a unique opportunity to engage with three schools that are part of the UNC system, whose coaches also have close ties to our own program, to partner in this event. I hope fans of all four teams and people who just want to find a way to make a positive impact will come out and support this relief effort.”
