Duke’s Jeremy Cash named preseason All-American by ESPN
Duke red-shirt senior safety Jeremy Cash was named to his sixth preseason All-America team Monday by earning a place on the ESPN squad. Already this fall Cash was a preseason first team All-America choice by Phil Steele magazine and a second team honoree by Athlon Sports, CBS Sports, Lindy’s Sports and Sporting News.
In addition to Cash’s All-America honor, red-shirt senior center Matt Skura and red-shirt junior all-purpose returner DeVon Edwards joined Cash on the ESPN preseason All-ACC team.
Duke’s three all-league selections were the third most in the ACC, behind only four honorees from Florida State and Virginia Tech. The Blue Devils and Seminoles were the only programs to have a pick on offense, defense and special teams.
