UNC schedules football series with Charlotte

UNC schedules football series with Charlotte

North Carolina agreed Wednesday to a home-and-home football series with the Charlotte 49ers in 2024 and 2025.

UNC will host to the 49ers on Sept. 7, 2024 and will play at Charlotte on Sept. 6, 2025.

Basketball

Campbell: Mike Magpayo was promoted to men’s assistant coach and Kevin Smith has been named assistant coach.

St. Augustine: Jarita Crump was named interim women’s coach.

Cross Country

Shaw: Coach William Montague was named CIAA women's Coach of the Week.

Montague guided the Bears to a victory this past weekend at the Virginia State Fall Opener. Four Lady runners finished in the top 10, including Muriel Evans, who finished second overall.

Golf

N.C. State: A recipient of two votes in the preseason coaches poll, the Wolfpack men begins their season Friday at the Kiawah Island Invitational.

Volleyball

Duke: Emily Sklar has been selected to the Senior CLASS Award candidate list, which recognizes 30 NCAA players who excel on and off the court

N.C. Central: The Eagles will play four matches in a three-day span beginning with its second home game of the season against Alabama State on Thursday at 7 p.m.
