Tar Heel volleyball tops Miami
CHAPEL HILL Carolina volleyball came out strong on Sunday afternoon, racing a a 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-16) victory over Miami to captures its sixth conference victory of the season. The Tar Heels used their patented dominant block and a well-balanced attack to sweep the ‘Canes, improving to 9-8 (6-2 ACC), while Miami dropped to 12-6 (5-3 ACC).
Duke: No. 25 Louisville remained unbeaten in ACC play, defeating Duke 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-22) Sunday afternoon at the KFC Yum!
NC State: The Pack dropped a battle against No. 18 Florida State, 3-1 (25-18, 33-31, 22-25, 25-20), inside Holliday Gym.
Field Hockey
Duke: Sophomore Alexa Mackintire launched a top shelf goal 40 seconds into overtime to lift fourth-ranked Duke over No. 18 James Madison.
Women’s Soccer
NC State: The Wolfpack soccer team (4-11-0, 0-6-0 ACC) dropped the finale of its three-match league road trip at Syracuse, falling 3-0.
Cross Country
Meredith: The Angles demonstrated a solid effort during Saturday's South/Southeast Regional Preview meet at Shenandoah University. Itzel Gonzalez led the Angels to a fifth place finish among the nine competing teams.
