Mike Krzyzewski premieres new season of his SiriusXM show Oct. 20

Mike Krzyzewski, head coach of the defending national champion Duke Blue Devils and the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, will host the season premiere of his weekly SiriusXM show, “Basketball and Beyond with Coach K,” Tuesday at 6 p.m. on SiriusXM College Sports Nation.

Coach K’s guests on the season debut will be Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred and Big Ten Conference Commissioner Jim Delany.

East Carolina: Prior to the football game against Temple Thursday, the Pirates will hold an open practice, which will include an intrasquad scrimmage, inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum from 4-6 p.m.

Wake Forest: Senior guard Codi Miller-McIntyre will miss 4-to-6 weeks with a foot fracture, head coach Danny Manning announced.

Football

Duke: The Blue Devils’ home contest against Miami will kick off at 7 p.m on Oct. 31.

East Carolina: Senior Josh Hawkins has been named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week

NCCU: Senior Clevonne Davis has been announced as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance during the Eagles’ 39-22 come-from-behind victory over Savannah State Saturday.

Men’s Soccer

Duke: Senior captain Zach Mathers was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week following his seven-point performance against No. 23 N.C. State Friday night.

Elon: After leading the Phoenix to victory with a game-winning goal, freshman Jaiden Fortune was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week.

Men’s Tennis

NCCU: Sophomore Kert Kilumets advanced to the round of 32 with an opening-round victory. Freshman Gabriel Cucalon picked up a consolation win in singles and doubles action to highlight play in the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championship at the Cary Tennis Park last weekend.

Rifle

N.C. State: Following a record-breaking weekend at the U.S. Naval Academy, the Wolfpack jumped seven spots to No. 10 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Poll.

Sports Club

Raleigh: Jeff Mullins, a basketball star from Duke and the Golden State Warriors, will be the keynote speaker at the Wedneday meeting.

Women’s Tennis

Mount Olive: The Trojans sit 14th out of 16 teams after the first round of the Saint Leo Women's Golf Invitational at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla., Monday.

Women’s Soccer

N.C. State: Prior to its 7 p.m. home match Thursday against nationally-ranked Clemson, the team will honor two past greats: Charmaine Hooper and the late Robin Morlock.
