N.C. STATE: The swimming and diving team opened its home schedule by downing Florida State at Casey Aquatic Center.
Tennis
Duke: Alyssa Smith and Rebecca Smaller fell to South Carolina duo Ingrid Martins and Ellie Zogg, 8-6, in the quarterfinal round of doubles play, ending the team’s run at the USTA/ITA regional Championship in Chapel Hill.
Field Hockey
Duke: The No. 4 Blue Devils turnedin one of their best defensive performances of the season, holding No. 1 Syracuse scoreless through regulation, but fell by a 1-0 score in overtime.
Women’s Golf
Duke: No. 5 Blue Devils turned in an under-par round as they posted a team-best four-under-par, 284, and lead by 10 strokes at the 2015 Landfall Tradition
