ECU swimming splits tri-meet with Gamecocks, W&M
GREENVILLE The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams wrapped up their 2015-16 dual meet seasons Saturday, splitting a tri-meet with South Carolina and William & Mary at Minges Natatorium.
The ECU women topped William & Mary, 180-107, and fell to South Carolina, 170-129.
The Pirate men earned a 151.5-142.5 victory over the Tribe and lost to the Gamecocks, 193-105.
Women’s Tennis
UNC: Two of the top women’s tennis programs in the country square off Sunday in Chapel Hill when No. 5 North Carolina hosts ninth-ranked Texas A&M at noon inside Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
NCCU: Freshman Jasmine Gabriel earned her first collegiate dual match victory in a 6-1 non-conference loss to Western Carolina University Saturdayafternoon.
Track and Field
NC State: The Pack’s distance runners made their mark on school history and national lists, as all five runners earned national top-10 times and four athletes went into the record books with top-10 marks in school history on Saturday at the Camel City Elite. The Pack raced against some of the nation’s top college talents, as well as professional athletes.
Duke: The Duke men’s and women’s track & field teams capped the final day of the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C., Saturday, highlighted by redshirt senior Stephen Boals and redshirt junior Urina Harrell winning the men’s shot put and women’s shot put competitions, respectively.

Elon: Soccer alum Clint Irwin ’11 was one of 10 honorees that was named a 2016 Top 10 Under 10 Alumni by the Office of Alumni Engagement and the Young Alumni Council.
