Duke men’s soccer releases schedule

Duke men’s soccer head coach John Kerr announced the 2016 Blue Devils’ schedule featuring 11 home games and seven NCAA tournament teams. The Blue Devils will host four ACC contests at Koskinen Stadium, including perennial top-10 foes North Carolina and Notre Dame, and will travel to play Pac-12 leader UCLA.

Coming off of a 10-7-2 record, Duke will play a trio of exhibition games before hosting the John Rennie Nike Classic the final weekend of August.

Duke faces its biggest non-conference test, traveling across the country to take on UCLA Sept. 2.

Rival North Carolina steps into Koskinen Stadium Oct. 14, and a meeting with Notre Dame ends Duke’s home schedule Oct. 21.

Duke ends the regular season with road games at Elon and Virginia. The Blue Devils will be looking for their first road win over the Phoenix since 2008, while Duke is in search of its first victory over the Cavaliers since 2009.
