Wolfpack tennis gets academic honor
SKILLMAN, N.J. The N.C. State men’s tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team, and Michael Ogden was named an ITA Scholar Athlete for the 2015-16 season, as announced by the organization.
The team has earned its second academic honor of the year after being selected as Chancellor’s Cup winners at the 2016 Wolfies.
Ogden is the third Wolfpack individual to earn academic honors this season. Simon Norenius and Thomas Weigel were named to the All-ACC Academic team earlier this season.
Ogden earned11 doubles victories during the season.
This marks the third consecutive year an individual from the team has been named an ITA Scholar Athlete.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 and have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters.
