Lancaster, Ulrich qualify for U.S. Senior Open

Neal Lancaster of Smithfield and former N.C. State golfer Gus Ulrich of Carthage have qualified to play in the 2015 U.S. Senior Open.

Lancaster was the medalist Wednesday in the USGA sectional qualifier, carding a 6-under 66 at High Point Country Club (Willow Creek). Ulrich had a 69 to claim the second qualifying spot.

The U.S. Senior Open will be played June 25-28 at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, Calif.
