Fritsch withdraws from Rex Hospital Open

Brad Fritsch, the second-leading money winner this year on the Web.com Tour, withdrew Friday from the Rex Hospital Open.

Fritsch, who played college golf at Campbell and lives in Holly Springs, tweeted Friday that he was “bummed” but suffered from a “very painful” left foot.

Fritsch, who scored his first career Web.com Tour victory this year, had an opening-round 70 at TPC Wakefield.
