North Moore football downs Chatham Central, now heading for best season since 1997

North Moore got four touchdowns from Tyreek Riddick-Reynolds to roll Chatham Central 61-0 in Yadkin Valley Conference action on Friday.

Andrew Fowler threw for two touchdowns (5 of 12 passing for 162 yards) and ran for three touchdowns (11 carries, 105 yards). Riddick-Reynolds dashed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries and caught a 49-yard touchdown pass.

The Mustangs (6-4, 5-3) are a win away from topping the seven-win mark for the first time since 1994. The program has won six games in each of the last three seasons, a big turnaround from winning just nine games in eight seasons.

Chatham Central (2-8, 1-6), meanwhile, lost its fifth straight game.

Josh Williams, playing quarterback in place of Hunter Little, was 3 of 15 passing and led all Bears with 30 yards rushing.

North Moore held Chatham Central to 91 yards of total offense.
