Big 8 all-conference teams for fall sports

The Big 8 Conference has announce its all-conference lists and player and coach of the year awards in all fall sports.

Chapel Hill won the most conference titles, taking boys cross country, girls cross country, boys soccer and volleyball championships. Cedar Ridge won the girls tennis crown and Orange claimed the football championship. The Big 8 does not hold an official girls golf championship, but Northwood was second in the Carolina Central Conference.

Chapel Hill won two state titles – in boys cross country and girls cross country – and was runner-up in volleyball.

Chapel Hill’s Gina Kim won her second straight 3A girls golf title.
